I was really confused when I looked at my emails and I had two from dad both talking about how they it was the last letter but they were different and I had recieved none from mom. It took me awhile to figure out but I got it.
It's really weird thinking that this is the last time that I am going to have to sit in a library with a bunch of people staring at me and having to think what has happened for the last week. I have my final interview tomorrow after district meeting and than Elder Jacobson and I are staying at the Mission Office on Wednesday Night. President and Sis. Paulson, the Assistants, and Elder Jacobson are taking me to the airport on Thursday. Kinda crazy how fast it has all gone.
This past week not much has happened. We tracted alot and had a really difficult week. We tracted for more than twenty hours and didn't really find anyone but we are still working hard. This week is filled with appointments (at least till thursday) So that is exciting. I love teaching so I wish I did it more. We did find one lady who we went and did service for last week and she is really good. She met with missionaries about 6 years ago and almost joined but something turned her away. She can't remember what it was so that doesnt' help us but we're meeting with her today.
Matt and Mona from Prince Albert were going to get married/baptized but one of them didn't have a birth certificate so they had to order it so a few more weeks. I'm excited to call them in a few days and see how its going. They had a baby recently too so it will be good to catch up.

So it seems like everything at home is super busy. I'm kinda glad i'm still out here for all of that (even though i realize I'm part of the reason everything is busy). Not to say that the mission isn't busy but it's just a different kind of busy. We found out today that when I leave, Elder Jacobson is going to be primarily with the Assistants so I've been teasing him that he is the new assistant. haha I realized that is probably only funny to me and him. It's my last full week in the mission and miracles are happening. A huge miracle happened this week.
We decided to go out tracting in the rich area which rarely weilds results but the ones you find are solid. Anyway, we were out there all day and had no one that was interested let alone nice but than we get a phone call and the man says "Is Elmer there?" and we were like um...I think you have the wrong number. And he asks are these the missionaries and we said oh yeah we are. He than expressed that he wanted to know how to join the church and be baptized. We told him that is what we do and we set up an appointment for after church at the church. He was super great and solid and wants to be baptized so bad. He had a friend he met in the hospital who is a member and she told him about it. We asked him why he was interested and he said "she said you don't drink, do drugs or have sex before marriage I think that would be good for me. We were like "um...yeah it would be." haha. He loves wakeboarding so him and I hit it off way good. We set a date with him for Sept. 3. The bad news though: He turned 18 on Saturday so we had to turn him over to the Young Single Adult missionaries. It will be better for him to go to the YSA but it sucks that we can't teach him anymore. He should be going to FHE tonight and he's excited so it should be good. He'll be baptized for sure.
Not much else is going on. We are struggling getting our investigators to come to church and live other commandments. Just a constant struggle here in the CWM but we're working hard.

Ha Thanks for all the Birthday wishes. Unfotunatley the days leading up to my Birthday are me having to say good bye to everyone and packing which I hate doing. I get super stressed when I have to pack but my plan is to live off the bare nessicities for four weeks and pack that all in a small suitcase. My two big ones I'm planning on just packing and not touching till I'm home. I hope my plan works but we'll see. I also hope they're under 50 lbs. We'll probably get a blizzard or something. I won't really be with a companion on my birthday so that is dumb. I'll drive down to regina on Wednesday and than Thursday drive the rest of the way to Winnipeg have my final supper with the Mission President and all the missionaries going home on Friday, go to our farewell fireside (the marinos are coming!!) and than getting dropped off in my new area for the last four weeks. I'm going to be in St. James part of town and the St. James ward. Out of the 5 Family wards in Winnipeg I will now have served in 4 of them. I'm pretty excited and nervous at the same time. We are white washing into the area and that is something I've never down before. My new companion is named Elder Jacobson and he is from a small town in Idaho. I've never met him before and he's been on his mission for about a year and a half. It's really hard to not meet someone in a misson of 56 missionaries but he's been outlining his entire mission. This will be his first time in the city. Pretty crazy. Since me and the missionary that i'm driving down to Regina haven't been to the temple our entire missions they were going to see if we could leave early on Wednesday and do a session but unfortunately the temple is closed for renovations for the next two weeks so no temple for me. That is another thing I want to do my first day home. It's been too years aka too long.
This past week has been alot of fun. We have two investigators who have no phone and no place so it is near impossible to get ahold of them. We have to drive around and find them or visit them at work but this past week they got a phone and a place so we're so excited for them. They are two of my favorite people on my mission and are set to be baptized in August. Unfortantely I'm going to miss that and their wedding next week. I guess it just happens that way. They would have gotten married this week but our Bishop is out of town so they have to wait. They were pretty disappointed to hear that I wouldn't be there. I'm pretty disappointed as well though.
It's going to be hard to leave Prince Albert but I'm also excited to go back to Winnipeg. I love Winnipeg even though it's not the Best city haha. It's where I've spent almost my entire mission. We got to call people and invite them to our Farewell fireside and lots of people are coming. I'm really excited about it. Alot said they are going to take me and my companion out to eat in our area haha.

Don't worry about not writing, alls well. Things happen and I know how busy life can be.
This week was super great. We have two investigators who are going to be moving in together at the end of this week and we just taught the law of chastity and so they are going to get married before that day. haha The only problem is that our bishop is out of town until the 22 and so there is no one here to marry them. We're hopefully going to figure something out but until then just pray for us.
This week was good, we taught quite a bit and my time here is winding down to an end here in Prince Albert. It's beautiful here. I don't know if you have looked at pictures on Google or anything but it's really nice. I'm excited to go back to Winnipeg though for my last little bit. Transfer calls are this week so I'll find out exactly where I'm going so I'll let you know next week. Sorry this is shorter but I love you all and hope you have a good one.

Just cause you are going to see me in 6 weeks doesn't mean I don't want emails anymore. haha just kidding. I'm sure everyone is just busy.
So this past week went pretty ok. We were down in Saskatoon this past week (I emailed last week from there) and than we had a zone meeting the following day. It was pretty fun. I always enjoy going down to Saskatoon. Than the following day two Elders came up to Prince Albert to do an exchange. It was lots of fun and we got alot of work done. Not too much happened this week though. Our investigators are coming along nicely but we discovered we are going to have to push back our two baptisimal dates cause they aren't going to make it. It's disappointing to see but at least they are still committed to being baptized.
This week I really don't have much to write about, sorry. I got a funny story but mom you can't freak out. Well the other night (sat) we were sitting on our floor and my companion sees something move under our trash can and says "I think we have a mouse" and I was like "No we don't" So he walks over there and sure enough a mouse jumps out and runs into our storage closet. We put a long mirror up to block it from going anywhere else in the house and than my companion goes into the closet with a broom to scare it out while I had two ice cream pails (one for each hand) To catch it when it came out. So after a few attempts I finally caught it and we weren't sure what to do. We ended up putting it in a trash can (Cleaned out) and put a little house for him in the trash can with a string attached to it so if we ever wanted to see him all we would have to do was lift the string. than we put saran wrap over the top of the can and put breathing holes in it (The string went through one of the holes and was tied so it wouldn't fall down). Anyway, the next morning we look in there and he had chewed the string but all the way up at the saran wrap. That little buggar, we named him Mr. Bojangles BTW (It's from the Movie Green mile) and climbed up the string in the middle of the night and than chewed the string at the very top. That must have been quite the fall but yeah, he didn't get out. That day (Sunday) we took him and threw him in the bush and today we are buying mouse traps. I'll send pictures. That was probably the most exciting thing that happened though haha. It was fun trying to catch him. I didn't know mice were so fast.
We found some ok people this week. One man was super drunk and that morning he said he prayed for someone to help him. First time he prayed in a long time and that afternoon we knocked on his door. Everytime we go over there he is drunk but hopefully we will be able to help him. We can only help if he wants to help himself.
Well not much else to write about. The Mail Strike here is over so thats good. The government passed a law that said they have to work. haha

Hey Everybody!!
So this week was not the best week but we still saw lots of miracles. I guess one big one that we saw was we were driving to go tract somewhere that we had planned and we passed a street and my thought was "I've never seen that street, we should tract it" First off, this is not like me because I hate duplex's and this street was only duplexs but we decided to tract it. We found about 12 potentials on that street and one of them was sooooo excited to see us. She had met with the missionaries about 2 years ago and she had people in her life that wouldn't let her continue meeting with us (they aren't there anymore) but when we knocked on her door she's like "I read your books all the time" haha. She has a baptisimal date for July 23rd. She is so excited for it.
So this past week was zone conference. Two big announcements I suppose: 1. President told me that I'm most likely (90%) going to be transfered to Winnipeg for my last 4 weeks so I'll leave her on July 20th (the best day ever btw) and 2. We now have a portable DVD player in our apartments. All missionaries in North America have one now so they can watch training videos and other church movies for studies. Kinda fun haha.
We're now down in Saskatoon so I don't have as much time to write but we are staying the night with the Zone Leaders and having district meeting tomorrow. We had P-day activity today and let me tell you 9 weeks of not having P-dady activity really makes you go out of shape. I'm exhausted.

So this past week has been super busy and all I could think about was that I just had another nephew. I've been super excited for today to come and see pictures of him. He's super cute and I can't wait to be is favorite Uncle (although I already am).
We had an amazing week this past week and everything just kinda worked out. It was truely a miracle. We had a guy who is friends with a member ask us if he could have a Book of Mormon cause he wants a change in his life and than after that we went to another members house and his roommate asked for a book of mormon as well so she could read it. That never happens here and it happened twice in one day. Pretty great.
We were able to set another baptismal date with one of our investigators for July 16th and we are working with her to reach that date. She has a long way to go but she can do it. She came to church yesterday and said it was "interesting". We'll see what she meant by that when we meet with her next. She liked it, just said it was "interesting".
We also met with a lady this week from Nigeria whose son has some brain problem and has been in the hospital for months now. The missionaries before me contacted her but because of her son she could never meet with them. He got really close to death and I guess he was in a small coma so the Elders here asked if she wanted him to have a blessing. He was down in Saskatoon so the sent the zoneleaders and as soon as they started the blessing he woke up and ever since has been doing better. He's been transfered up to Prince Albert so she now has time to meet with us. She's pretty incredible. She's so greatful to be here in Canada. She keeps saying that if God wouldn't have brought her here her son would have died becuase Nigeria doesn't have as good of health care. Talk about counting your blessings, some people would choose to be bitter but not her.
This entire week it has been pouring rain. Ridiculous amounts which isn't a good thing cause all of Saskatchewan and Manitoba are flooding so that probably didn't help. There were quite a few thunder storms as well. Those are always fun to watch. I feel bad tracting and than going to an appointment and sitting on peoples couches drenched but they usually don't mind haha.
Glad to hear everybody is doing good. Sorry this letter isn't the longest but know that I love you all and can't wait to see you soon.

Hey family:
Mom, your welcome for your birthday call. You should call her back as well cause she thinks she called the wrong number haha. She is one of my favorite people ever and I think I was sent here for her. She has been Less active for years and she recently started to come back to church. The last two weeks she has been sick but the three weeks before that she came and brought friends. Don't mention any of that to her but yeah, she's pretty much great.
It sounds like you had a great time for your birhday. busy busy busy. You two are always on the go. 80 year olds like you should not be doing this much work haha.
My new companion is Elder Porter and he is from Arizona. He is my 2 companion out of 12 who is not from Utah or Idaho (2 were from Idaho and 8 from Utah). It seems like everyone out here is from Utah. He's really nice and has been out for about a year. He's Senior Companion this transfer and it's his first time so President wanted me to train he kinda to be senior. He doesn't really need it, he's just lacks confidence sometimes but whatever, I am enjoying being Junior companion after being Senior since my 5th transfer. It's relaxing.
Not much happened this week but we have alot of good things geared up for this week. We're going to be busy but it makes time go by fast when you are. I got my contacts this week so thanks everyone who had a hand in that (I think just mom and Kevin). I know my Birthday is not for another month but don't send me anything for my birthday. I'll be home in a month anyway so there isn't much that I would need. Maybe just money for a blizzard at DQ. haha.

So not too much has happened this week. We did get our transfer calls. Elder Liechty is going to Winnipeg this Wednesday and I'm getting Elder Porter. He's been out for about a year and he is really nice and funny. I don't know him to well but it should be good. I talked to President about dying in Winnipeg and he says he'll do everything he can to make that happen. I love Prince Albert but there are quite a few reasons I want to die in Winnipeg so we'll see what happens.
I'm really sad to have Elder Liechty go. He's probably my favorite companion so far. Luckily he lives in Highland, UT (next to Alpine) and he goes home 4 weeks before me so I'll have plenty of time to hang out.

We had a Dinner appointment yesterday, today and tomorrow and we have a lunch appointment today, tomorrow and wednesday. It's crazy cause that is more meal appointments than we have gotten all transfer haha. It's gonna be good though. I love food.
Our investigators are coming along. Some are progressing faster than others. Patience is definately an important thing in Missionary work. I just wish sometimes people would do what they are suppose to do or that they said they would do. It's pretty frustrating but I'm sure it happens to every missionary.
Sorry I don't have too much exciting things to tell you. There weren't too many highlights this week but things have been good here and we are always busy. The weather is great and warm but that also brings the mosquitos and they are the worst creature ever created. I hate them haha.

Hola Everybody,
So this week was pretty great. We have been super busy and just working out butts off that we barely have time to breath. Transfer calls are this week and President already told us that we are being split up because Elder Liechty goes home this next transfer and I go home half way between the next one so it wouldn't work to keep us together. I'm disappointed about that but what ever it's really only for a transfer and a half. I really have no idea about next transfer. I have this overwhelming feeling that I'm leaving. Really it's the only logical decision but we'll see what happens. I'm almost positive that I'm not dying here in Prince Albert so I'll either be moved this one or the next.
Sounds like all is going well at home. Here like I said earlier it is super busy. I'm really enjoying it. We got a new car last week. It is a charcoal color 2011 Malibu. We traded in our 2007 malibu for the 2011. We named our new car "Le-A" (Ledasha). She's beautiful haha.
Elder Liechty and I had to give talks this past Sunday and we were given the worst topics ever. I had to speak on the day in the life of a missionary and Elder Liechty had to talk on how he prepared mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually for a mission especially how he prepared to be with one person 24/7. They were terrible. We talked a little on what we were assigned but changed mine to the day in the life of a disciple and the things we should be doing daily and Elder Liechty changed his to how to prepare to meet God. So we did do what they asked but transitioned them to actually be good. I think it went pretty well but I went with a member to go pick up an investigator and we were running late and Elder Liechty stayed with out WML and so we got there right as the sacrament was going so we stayed in the Hall until it was over they said I was speaking I walked right up to the stand from the hall, gave my talk, walked down from the stand and sat with our investigator. It was super stressful but it went well. It probably also didn't help that I wrote my talk 20 min before church. haha It was really good though.
Well not much else to say. Last week I forgot to mention that we finally got a Ward Mission Leader. It's been about 9 weeks since they had one but we finally got one. It is actually Eduardo, the man who let us skype from his house. He's super great.

So our appointment fell through so I'm able to email today. This week has just been so scattered but really good. It's been super busy and I can barely even keep my thoughts together. Cassies Baptism was just so great. She was so excited/ready to be baptized. Her entire family came to both the Baptism and the confirmation and stayed for all 3 hours of church. They even had us out for an after baptism barbeque. They are super nice people and hopefully they had a good impression from the baptism and church.
We found a ton of people this past week and set 4 baptismal dates. They are all super great people and hopefully we can help them all reach their dates. We were teaching a lesson to Cassie in the church with a member and the phone rings in the church and teh member goes up to answer it and comes back and hands us a piece of paper that says "Valentina Daniels, Taught all the lessons in Saskatoon, wants to be baptized this week, appt. today at 12:30" Haha crazy that happened but we went and taught her and set her for a date in July. She hadn't been taught everything and she is going on a month long trip so we set her for that date.
We've just been super blessed this past week and we definately know that blessings came from our hard work. I'm just grateful that the world didn't end this past week so we could get Cassie Baptized (I don't know if that was a big thing in the states but some guy predicted the end of the world was last saturday). Sorry this week is really short but I'll send pictures of the Baptism next week. We went down to Saskatoon for District Meeting and got back late so we couldn't email until now and yesterday was a holiday. Canada has so many holidays Yesterday was Victoria Day. Whatever that is.

So this week was a pretty good week. Our District meeting was really good and I was able to see the Sheiss Family (my favorite family in Saskatoon) so it was good. We were able to teach quite a bit this past week as well which is always a plus. Our Zone has started this thing to improve the spirituallity of the places where we are serving so they gave us all chalk and want us to write things around the town. Elder Liechty and I have drawn the plan of Salvation, and a few articles of Faith around along with some messages like "You are a Child of God" all of them have mormon.org written next to them as well. It is alot of fun to do and we notice that alot of people have been stopping to look at them. Hopefully we see some improvements here.
This past friday Cassie had her Baptisimal Interview and she passed with flying colors. She is super great. She is going to be baptized on Saturday and confirmed on Sunday. Things are treking along and good things are happing here in PA. We are truely blessed in this area. Another woman is planning to be baptized at the beginning of June and this morning we set another date for the end of June.
I don't really have too much else to say. I feel like my emails have been getting shorter and shorter but looking back on my week I can't say too much happened. I'll take pictures at the baptism. Well, I love you all and hope all is going well in China, Utah, and Vegas.

Well this week has had alot of changes. New area, New ward, New province, new companion. After driving for 12 hours, I finally got to the absolutley beautiful city of Prince Albert. I love this place. First off, we have hills. Everywhere else I've served it's been super flat but here it is hilly. Second, Prince Albert is in the middle of a forrest. The weather here is also really great. In Winnipeg it was warm but when we got to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (2 hours away) it was freezing. But when we got up to Prince Albert it was really warm and has been for quite a while. Apparently the southern part of Saskatchewan just got a big snow storm but we're still warm and happy up here.
So for my call on Sunday, the whole time zone thing as made it really difficult for me but I think we figured it out. We're going to call you from the church phone at 7 am on Sunday morning (our time). Hopefully that works for everyone. Church starts at 10 so people will start coming at about 9 so I figured that would be enough time to talk to you guys. Elder Leichty will make his call later in the day.
So Like I said before I really love Prince Albert. It's great. My companion and I are getting along great. His name is Elder Liechty and he is from Leighton, UT (he went to the same school as the Madsens). He goes home in July and I go home in August so we are both pretty old. I don't think either of us have stopped laughing since we got together. We are both pretty similar so it's been alot of fun. There are also quite alot of good things happening. They just had a baptism last week and we have another one set for May 22. The ward is really good. The bishop is notorious in this mission for being a bad bishop but we'll see what we can do to work with him. I literally went from the best bishop in the mission to the worst but it's ok cause everything else makes up for it.
It was super hard to leave my old area. Everyone wanted to take us out and feed us and say good bye and all that good stuff so it just made to good byes that much harder. I realized that staying in an area for 7 1/2 months isn't a good thing cause you get way too attached to everyone and they get too attached to you. But change is a part of the mission and you just have to go where your told.
One exciting story to tell you. I love Karen (pronounced Ka - ran) people and I haven't seen any forever. Since i was in Saskatchewan last which was more than a year ago. Anyway, they are such great people and so humble but they barely speak any English so lessons are really hard and I've never known any to get baptized cause they are so difficult to teach. Yesterday though we were teaching two of our investigators La-Nei and Ku-pa and they had some other family members over so one of the family members, Ta-moo-la, sat in and we started teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. About half way though Ta-moo-la started speaking english to us. She spoke really really good english and we were both taken aback. She's only been in Canada for 3 years and we've talked to Karan people who have been there 10 years and can't speak english. She was able to translate and they had alot of questions and it was a really really good lesson. Ahh the spirit was so strong and we were so excited to finally meet a karan person that can speak English. We need to take her to all our appointments with karan people haha.

Well we've definitely had better weeks that is for sure. Sorry I didn't write yesterday it was Easter Monday (another holiday up here). The libraries were all closed so we are emailing today.
Well our first baptisimal date, Sandy texted us and said she didn't want to meet anymore. So we kept texting her and trying to talk to her and she eventually said she wanted to come to church this sunday. She didn't come but texted us sunday saying she was sick and would contact us soon for a lesson. whew. We almost lost her and I was scared cause she is so great.
The day after Sandy dropped us, we had a lesson with our other baptisimal date Shauna. We texted her sister that morning to make sure it was still all ok and she responded saying that Shuana had been evicted and they were on their way to Erickson, MB for her to live. There aren't any missionaries there and it is a couple hours out of the city. Another disappointment.
Other than those two though it was still a good week. Our lesson with the Marino's went great. Bishop and his family came along and they loved eachother. They were setting up playdates and wanted to come to more lessons so I truly believe that Bishop and his family are going to be the key to their conversion. We actually met with them last night again but Bishops' family couldn't come. It was a good lesson and it was the first time in a while that the dad sat in but it was still good. Ended quick cause they had some uninvited visitors come over but other than that it was good.
I'm devastated cause I actually got transferred. It has been so hard to say goodbye to everyone especially the Marinos. Before our lesson yesterday they were all outside when we pulled up so for about 30 min we played tag and football with the kids. Everyone has been having us over for supper and wanting to say good bye. Serving in a ward for 7 1/2 months gets you really close to all the members there. I didn't think it would be this hard but it is really tough.
So I assume you're probably wondering where I am going. I'm on my way to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on Thursday. It is the second furtherest area in the mission. The farthest which is the Battlefords being about 1 hour from Prince Albert. On Thursday I'll start my 12 hour drive to Prince ALbert (PA for Short). My new companion is named Elder Liechty from Leighton, Utah. Elder Fackrell (my old comp) will be replacing me here in Munroe. Next week I'll not only write you in a different city but also a different Province.
Well not much else to say. The weather here is great. it is 20 C outside which is super nice. I'm happy winter is finally gone. From what we hear the flooding here is terrible. THe city has a flood way which splits the river in half and diverts it all the way around the city so we're good but I hear almost all the borders are closed and the city does have the threat of flooding, despite the floodway. I'll guess we'll wait and see.

So this week was just simply grand. The work is ok but its going well if that makes any sense. This past Sunday was like the Jehovah Witness equvialent for easter so they have been hitting the pavement like crazy so everywhere we went people were getting angry and saying "You were just here and Hour ago!!" Like every street we went on said that. Haha we were still able to find people so it was good. The Marinos didn't happen last week but today for sure. Bishop and his whole family (he has two little girls) are coming with us so it should be a great lesson. It is on Tithing so that is a little sketchy but we'll see haha.
Sandy came to church yesterday and loved it. I don't know if I mentioned Sandy but she is dating a member who lives in a different ward and and he reffered us to her. She is set to be baptized on May 21st and she thought church was Awesome.
We got to go out to some members who live about an hour away on a farm. They are the grosses (you emailed her those recipes) and that was way fun. I got to rake and move logs and help with a pump and burn stuff and mess with their cows. It was all good fun. They are a great family. It's just too bad that they live so far away.
So we get our transfer calls this Friday. President's granddaughter is getting baptized on Friday so she is coming up so that he can be there and alot of his other famliy is coming. All the missionaries in Winnipeg (That's me!!) get to go so he'll probably just tell us there. I would assume I'm leaving cause I've been here for 7 1/2 months and you don't normally stay in an area for more than 6 months so logically I would leave but everytime you set a baptisimal date you call President and in the last two weeks we got to call him 3 times (I'll tell you about the third in the next paragraph) and each time he says "well Elder Turner, We'll have to keep you there 9 months to get these people baptized" So I guess we'll see what happens. I wouldn't mind staying, it's just a long time in one area. They might as well just send my records to this ward haha. If I stay though, Elder Hall is probably gone because he goes home after this next transfer and so that means that after the next transfer they will have to whitewash (take both missionaries out) or leave me there for 10 1/2 months. haha I guess I'll tell you next week what happens. Transfers are always so exciting. I just love change.
So this past week we finally got in contact with an investigator named Laurant. I might have mentioned him before but he is great. He is from Benine, Africa and he is an older gentleman who has some health problems so contacting him is impossible but he is super christian and excited to learn more about the restored gospel. He set a baptisimal date for May 21st. We also have two other investigators, Shauna and Sandy set for that date. It's gonna be a great day.
I don't have anything really else to say. I hope all is well at home and I'll talk to you next week. This next week is shaping up to be a good one so i'll be excited to email again.

Well another week has gone by but this week is totally different. We just got nourished with 10 hours of conference and don't have to wear suit coats anymore. haha I'm sitting in the library in a short sleave white shirt and no suit coat and loving life.
So conference was great. President Uchtdorf (always my favorite speaker) gave great talks (preiesthood and sunday morning). When Elder Hall was sick two weeks ago I read every President Uchtdorf talk in the Ensigns for like the past 5 years. He's great. Elder Bednar gave a great talk as well. Of course the news of the Winnipeg Temple was huge. Everyone was so excited. It was great to see. haha I was writing down the temples and President Monson said Fort Collins, CO and my thaught was oh Mandy is there and also my DL is from Denver so I was like thats nice. Than he said Meridian, ID and my thought was oh I have lots of friends from Meridian thats great. Than he said Winnipeg and the congregation gasped and froze and than some people started cheering and clapping. Everyone got emotional (lots of tears) and the spirit was so strong. Investigators were super impressed with the reaction to it. Some people came late and everyone rushes up to them to tell them the news. The land is over by our mission office. I guess they had bought the land like 10 years ago but when President Hinkley came to see it he didn't like it and at the announcement he turned to his counselors and said "What about Regina?" I guess everybody's heart was broken. Nobody knows if they will still use that land. I think a member died and gave the land to the church for the temple in his will. We're all pretty excited about it though. I'll definately come back up for the dedication.
Thanks for taking care of my classes Mom and kevin (especially mom). Tony just wrote me and he has 5 weeks left. That is too crazy. I still have forever left but its going by way too fast.

I can't believe how fast the mission has been going lately. It seems like time just continues to go by and I just watch it happen. I'm working hard and time goes by faster haha maybe I should not work hard anymore and it will slow down...just kidding.
So some big news that I know the family is going to get a kick out of (especially Brian and Cami). Salt Lake has issued that all missionaries now have text messages (at least in out mission) haha We have 800 a day so I don't think I'll be going over but who knows haha. When I heard it I didn't think much about it but I thought you guys would enjoy hearing that I get to text again.
So this past week was a good one. Not too much happened but we have good things lining up. We met with the Marinos again this week but once again the Dad was at the hospital. Its kinda funny becuase President calls us all the time now asking for updates on them. He absolutley loves that family and its fun to be able to teach them. They aren't progressing as fast as some other investigators (i've been teaching them for 6 months) but thats ok. They need to go at a slower pace. We are hopefully going out there tonight. We haven't confirmed with them but our Bishop is coming as well so it should be great.
Last night we had a fireside and there is a missionary who just came to our mission in the middle of last week. He was going to Japan but had some health issues so got sent here after 3 months in the MTC. I was talking to him last night and I said the only Japanese Phrase I remember "Nihamgo Tamimasen" and he gave me this weird look and was like "you don't eat Japanese" haha It made me laugh.
Sorry this one is a bit shorter but because its spring break, there are a ton of people at the library and the computers are in short supply so I gotta let the other Elders get a shot. Love ya.

So not too much happened this week. We had alot of ups and downs. Our Baptisimal date dropped us yesterday becuase "being a mormon is just too hard". That was pretty diappointing but he'll come back. He always does. This isn't the first time he's dropped missionaries and it probably won't be the last.
The Marinos are doing good. The mom was on 1 Nephi 7 last time we were there and this past week she was on Alma 7. It was great. It took 6 months to get her to Alma 7 than one week to get her to Alma 7. She read that all in one day and the kids were begging for breakfast but she just wanted to keep reading haha. Unfortunately she hasn't been reading every day but she does like the book of Mormon and gets drawn in. The dad hasn't been meeting with us for a while and always has excuses for church but I think if the rest of the family want to join he would be supportive and eventually come around. We're meeting with them tonight but the dad won't be there again. His buddy was out snowmobilling and while he was out his wife and 2 kids (6 and 9) were in a head on collision. All survived but the little girl is paralyzed from the chest down and the other two have problems. He's been helping him out at the hospital. Sad story i know. We're definately keeping his friends family in our prayers.
So we found a great new investigator this past week named Michael. I was on exchange and my comp and another missionary were tracting and tracted into a guy who had just asked for missionaries on Mormon.org the day before so he thought they were there for that. We taught him yesterday and he is great and is gonna get baptized I just know it. I'll keep you posted on him.
The Olsens (my family up here) are moving back to Spanish Fork this week so its sad to see them go. We're helping them move on tuesday so yeah that kinda stinks but they said when I'm at BYU I need to come over for Sunday Supper. haha
Things are picking up for us. We have a ton of appointments this week and we are meeting with a Recent Converts/Less Active which is great cause we have only seen them like 3 times since their baptism. I'm excited for that appointment.
This past week Elder Hall had the Flu for two days so we weren't able to work those days. We went on Exchange for our appointments that we had though. Unfortunately for us one of those days was Sunday so I took him to Church and one of the Elders from the previous ward (he left priesthood early and his comp went into a trio with the other two in that ward) went and sat in the car with Elder Hall. I went with the other two Elders in our ward and the Elder who sat in the car with Elder Hall and his comp took him out tracting and left him in the car while they tracted (with presidents approval of course) haha. It was so complicated but it all worked out.
Well not much else to report on. Do you want me to keep all my winter gear or donate it to the mission. I have a big coat, winter boots, gloves, hat, ear muffs, etc. So I'll keep whatever you want me too. Just let me know soon.

Hello everybody at home,
I hope everybody had a great week. Mine was good but could've been better. The Marinos were sick for our appointment so they had to cancel. We are going out there this week so all should be good.
So the day of the earthquake a ton of people called me cause in some people's minds Japan and China are the same thing but they were worried about you guys being in what they thought was Japan. I got to thinking about it though and I was like "uh Dad does alot of business in Japan and I didn't get a letter from Mom and she usually tells me where Dad is going, I hope he's ok" So I called the mission President and he said he would call and find out but I didn't have your number and the only number I could find was Brian and Cami's which I guess Destiny now has I don't know. But mom can you A. Send me your home phone # and B. call give it to Sister Poulton (not Paulson) so that they have it on record. That would be fantastic but I am glad to hear that Dad was not in Japan. He had tried calling all weekend and finally got ahold of them on Sunday.
This week has been busy though. We've been trying to help someone quit smoking and they are so stubborn. I get so frustrated but I guess I've never really had an addiction like that so I don't fully understand. I just think "if you want to quit, don't buy ciggarettes!!!" It seems like an easy fix to me but I guess it's harder than that. We have been super busy which is nice cause life goes alot better when your busy. I suppose I'm always busy but lessons seem to make the day seem busier than tracting.
Elder Hall and I are staying together by the way. I'm super excited to stay. That means I would have been in this area for 7.5 months which is really exciting. That rarely happens. It might have helped that I asked President Paulson to stay and so did Bishop haha but still it's done by revelation. I had General Conference in this ward 6 months ago and now I'll have my second. I'm super excited for General Conference as well. We don't have to wear suits after that which I love.
So we had a wicked blizzard the other day and it was scary. I had to drive and we took a back road (not a good idea) and i was in a white out for like a minute but it was super scary and I couldn't see at all. Luckily there was no accidents and we were fine. It was just the scariest thing I have ever driven in. Elder hall didn't help either haha.
This week though it is going to be warm. The forecast is in the positives all week. Its great. It's like +1 C today and i'm walking around in a suit coat. They are expecting massive flooding this year. In 1997 they had the flood of the century and they expect this year to be worse. Not much we can do about it I guess. We are on the bottom floor of the apartment building so I'm expecting to go swimming. It's gonna be fun cause I've never experianced something like this. We'll see what happens haha.

I hope everybody had a great week. Mine was good but could've been better. The Marinos were sick for our appointment so they had to cancel. We are going out there this week so all should be good.
So the day of the earthquake a ton of people called me cause in some people's minds Japan and China are the same thing but they were worried about you guys being in what they thought was Japan. I got to thinking about it though and I was like "uh Dad does alot of business in Japan and I didn't get a letter from Mom and she usually tells me where Dad is going, I hope he's ok" So I called the mission President and he said he would call and find out but I didn't have your number and the only number I could find was Brian and Cami's which I guess Destiny now has I don't know. But mom can you A. Send me your home phone # and B. call give it to Sister Poulton (not Paulson) so that they have it on record. That would be fantastic but I am glad to hear that Dad was not in Japan. He had tried calling all weekend and finally got ahold of them on Sunday.
This week has been busy though. We've been trying to help someone quit smoking and they are so stubborn. I get so frustrated but I guess I've never really had an addiction like that so I don't fully understand. I just think "if you want to quit, don't buy ciggarettes!!!" It seems like an easy fix to me but I guess it's harder than that. We have been super busy which is nice cause life goes alot better when your busy. I suppose I'm always busy but lessons seem to make the day seem busier than tracting.
